Truck Body Work & Paint Prep Services
Durable, road-ready decals and lettering that keep your fleet branded, identifiable, and compliant on every route.
Your Trucks Are Seen by Thousands of People Every Day
Every truck in your fleet is a moving advertisement. Faded, peeling, or mismatched graphics send the wrong message to customers, and missing or unreadable regulatory markings can lead to roadside inspection problems.
At Dependable Paint, our truck decal printing service produces commercial-grade graphics in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, from the first design proof to final installation. We print and cut decals using vinyl films chosen for the surface they’re going on, whether that’s a smooth cab door or a riveted trailer wall.
Because we also paint trucks in the same facility, your graphics go onto a properly cured surface and match your fleet colours from unit to unit.
Services we offer
Decal, Lettering, and Graphics Services for Commercial Fleets
The right graphic depends on where it goes, how long it needs to last, and what it needs to say. We match the material and installation method to each application.
01
Commercial Vehicle Decals
Our commercial vehicle decals feature full-colour printed logos and graphics with protective laminates that guard against UV fading, road grime, and pressure washing.
02
Fleet Vehicle Lettering
Our fleet vehicle lettering uses saved templates across your fleet, ensuring identical font sizing, spacing, and placement every time new trucks are added.
03
Truck Lettering and Graphics
Our truck lettering and graphics cover cut vinyl and layered designs, carefully aligned around door handles and panel seams for clean, intentional branding.
04
Custom Truck Stickers
Our custom truck stickers provide durable unit numbers, safety warnings, equipment IDs, and fuel labels for bumpers, toolboxes, and cab interiors.
05
DOT Compliance Decals
Our DOT compliance decals ensure legal visibility with contrasting USDOT numbers, NSC numbers, and reflective trailer conspicuity tape installed to exact standards.
06
Trailer Decal Installation
Our trailer decal installation uses conformable cast films, heat-forming, and rivet tools to seal graphics seamlessly over corrugated panels without lifting or bubbling.
Is Your Fleet Branding Still Doing Its Job?
Worn or outdated graphics cost you visibility every day your trucks are on the road. It’s time for new decals if you notice:
- Cracked or curling edges on door lettering and logos
- Faded colours that no longer match your brand
- Lifting vinyl around rivets and seams on trailer walls
- Outdated phone numbers, websites, or logos after a rebrand
- Unreadable USDOT or NSC numbers that could flag a roadside inspection
- New or used units joining the fleet without matching graphics
- Damaged reflective tape on trailers after a minor impact
Fresh, consistent graphics keep your fleet recognizable, compliant, and professional on every route.

Engineered for Durability
From Design Proof to Final Install
01
Measurement & Consultation
We measure each vehicle type and note door handles, rivets, seams, and curves. We also confirm which regulatory markings your trucks need.
02
Design & Proof Approval
Our team creates a to-scale proof for each vehicle. Nothing is printed until you approve the layout, colours, and wording.
03
Material Selection
We choose cast vinyl for curves and riveted surfaces, and suitable films for flat panels. Reflective films are used where visibility matters.
04
Printing, Laminating & Cutting
Graphics are printed, laminated for UV and abrasion protection, and contour cut. Cut vinyl lettering is weeded and masked for accurate transfer.
05
Surface Prep & Installation
Surfaces are cleaned of wax and road film, then graphics are installed in our indoor bay within the film manufacturer’s recommended temperature range.
06
Final Inspection
We check edges, rivets, and seams for lifting, then walk you through simple care tips to keep your graphics looking sharp.
Fleet Branding for Businesses Across the Maritimes
Our Dartmouth shop offers commercial vehicle lettering in Dartmouth, NS, so local businesses can drop off a truck in the morning and pick it up the same day. Our truck decal printing in Halifax helps contractors and trades stand out on busy city streets, while our fleet decal installation in Moncton supports multi-truck rebrands and new unit rollouts in batches.
If you’ve been searching for “truck lettering near me” in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick, our indoor installation bay keeps cold, damp Atlantic weather from affecting how well your graphics stick. That means reliable installs all year, even in the middle of winter.

FAQs
Truck Decal and Lettering FAQs
Everything you need to know about timelines, warranties, and getting your fleet refinished.
How long do commercial truck decals last?
Lifespan depends on the vinyl, laminate, and exposure. Quality cast vinyl with a protective laminate typically lasts several years. Cheaper calendered films usually wear out sooner, especially on curved or riveted surfaces.
Will vinyl decals damage my truck's paint?
No, not on properly cured factory or professional paint. Vinyl actually protects the paint underneath from UV fading. When removed correctly with heat and adhesive remover, the paint stays intact.
How soon can decals go on after a truck is painted?
Fresh paint needs time to fully cure and release solvents before vinyl is applied. Applying graphics too early can trap solvents and cause bubbling. Because we paint and write in the same shop, we time this for you.
What are the USDOT number display requirements?
US federal rules require the USDOT number on both sides of the power unit. It must contrast with the background and be legible from 50 feet in daylight. We size and place your markings to meet these requirements.
Do Canadian trucks need NSC numbers displayed?
Display requirements for National Safety Code numbers vary by province. We can produce and install NSC decals, and we recommend confirming your province’s current rules with your compliance team.
Can you install decals on riveted trailers?
Yes. We use conformable cast vinyl and heat-forming techniques so graphics wrap around rivets and seams without lifting.
Can you match our exact brand colours?
Yes. We match printed colours to your brand files and offer solid vinyl colour options for lettering. A printed proof is available before production.
Can you remove old decals before installing new ones?
Yes. We remove old graphics and adhesive residue with heat and specialty removers. If old decals have left ghosting in the paint, we can refinish the area before new graphics go on.
How much does truck decal printing cost?
Cost depends on size, design complexity, materials, and the number of vehicles. Fleet orders using the same layout usually cost less per unit. We provide a detailed quote after reviewing your vehicles and artwork.
